Description

Duct cable (round) Specification

1. Cable Description
Bow-type FTTH put in side with 2 FRP, the optical fiber unit positioned in the center. Two parallel strength member are placed at the two sides and have aramid yarn to protect the inside FTTH, outside sheath is PE.

Electric field Resistance (The space potential on the cable) – Using tester that follows TCVN 68-160:2008

– Place two plates inside anh outside of outer jacket.

– Set the voltage demand on technical requiement.

– Time under the Voltage: 5 minutes

– Acceptance Criteria: non – breaking cable

 

Outer jacket thickness

– Use a caliper to measure Outer jacket thickness

– Sample: a new cable removed from the cable drum

– Perform measurements at 5 points separated by the least 1m to each others.

– Evaluation criteria: the averge value of outer jacket thickness ≥ 1.5mm

Operating temperature # Test method: IEC 60794-1-2- F1

– Cable length: ≥ 500m

– Mandrel Diameter: ≥30D (D: Cable Diameter)

10. Cable marking

The cable sheath shall be marked with white characters at intervals of one meter with following information:

  1. Purchaser’s name
  2. Fiber type and counts
  3. Cable type
  4. Length marking
